Building a retention-first, revenue-forward foundation.

Role:
Creative Director

Markets:
Maryland

Industry:
Retail

As Brand Director, I led the creative direction for Remedy’s retention program to turn repeat purchasers into loyal brand advocates.

Partnering closely with a cross-functional team across campaign management, email marketing, and design, we delivered a performance-driven retention strategy designed to increase repeat revenue, boost customer lifetime value, and support long-term scalability.

THE CHALLENGE.

Remedy needed to increase revenue from its existing customer base by turning retention into a primary growth driver.

Primary challenges included:

  • Increasing repeat purchase frequency through targeted retention campaigns

  • Re-engaging inactive customers who had fallen out of the purchase cycle

  • Building loyalty without relying on constant discounts

  • Delivering tailored messaging aligned to customer lifecycle stages

RESULTS & IMPACT.

The retention program delivered measurable impact through:

  • Weekly Campaigns: Generated over $850K in repeat revenue with 30%+ open rates and 3%+ conversion rates

  • Automated Flows: Sustained 30%+ open rates and ~4% conversion rates across welcome, birthday, and abandoned cart journeys

  • Win-Back Strategy: Re-engaged 1,000+ lapsed customers, producing nearly $100K in incremental revenue

CREATIVE CRAFTED TO DRIVE RETENTION

The retention program was built as a cohesive creative system designed to feel recognizable and brand-led across every touchpoint.

Key initiatives included:

  • Developing a flexible design system that supported rapid iteration while maintaining visual consistency

  • Establishing clear creative hierarchies that prioritized primary offers and calls to action

  • Designing modular layouts optimized for quick scannability across email and SMS

  • Deploying lifecycle-aware creative that adapted messaging and visuals based on customer behavior
